The GWI will be reflected in the August 12,2022 paychecks for eligible associates covered by East collective bargaining agreements. 08/08/22 - United Passenger Rail Federation BMWED-IBT Amtrak paid $2.3 million in executive bonuses in 2021. Talk about a hand in the fare box. Despite lower revenue and ridership, Amtrak somehow found gobs of money for the bosses. Amtrak's CEO Stephen Gardner received $293,000 in bonuses in 2021. Eight others in the 12-member leadership team received bonuses of $230,000 more. Meanwhile, the BMWED struggles with an attrition rate that robs America’s railroad of productivity. |

08/05/22 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21 An agreement has been reached between our Union and AT&T to extend the Work From Home Agreements for IBEW members until March 31, 2023. This extension applies to all IBEW members working under all IBEW – AT&T Contracts who have been identified as employees who are eligible to perform their job duties from home. Company management has the right to cancel the agreements at any time with a seven-day notice. Participation is at the discretion of management and is entirely voluntary on behalf of employees. It is time for your voices to be heard. Tell your manager they need to let their bosses know that their employees are unhappy with the decisions they are making. IBEW – AT&T Tentative Agreement Highlights
08/01/22 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21 Monday, August 1, 2022 - 5:20pm (CDT) - The IBEW System Council T-3 (SCT-3) and AT&T reached a tentative agreement on a new 5 year contract covering approximately 3,000 IBEW union members working for the company nationwide, primarily in Illinois and Northwest Indiana. The new deal will increase wages by 16.5% plus a COLA which is based on next year’s inflation rate. This equates to a cumulative wage increase of 17.6% over the term of the contract, plus the COLA adjustment. The contract also includes retroactive pay, yearly company provided pension increases, medical benefit cost controls with modest monthly contribution increases, the recognition of Martin Luther King Jr as a holiday and the agreement addresses job security concerns of members in at risk job titles. All other key language in the collective bargaining agreement was also retained. |

07/30/22 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21 Saturday, July 30, 2022 - 12:01pm (CDT) – This morning at 3:25 am, the IBEW System Council T-3 (SCT-3) and AT&T reached a tentative agreement on a new five-year contract covering approximately 3,000 union members working for the company nationwide primarily in Illinois and Northwest Indiana for the contract that has been extended since June 25, 2022. The new five (5) year contract includes compounded wage increases that deal with rising inflation rates while controlling benefit cost increases. Many contract language improvements across various job titles have been negotiated as well as job protections for members who could be affected by changes in our rapidly evolving industry. |
